Daddy's Corner -::- Colin's First Cold

I know that our posts have been fewer and fewer lately, but we have found that now that Colin is here, and the waiting for him to arrive is over, we don't have as much time to post. I know that it really is an excuse, but it is the best that I have got.

Colin has come down with his first cold, and it is a bummer of a cold. His nose is all stuffed up and he has an unpleasant cough. This makes it hard for him to sleep, and so the poor guy is just miserable. We have some dear friends who have loaned us a Johnny-Jump-Up and a humidifier. He loves the Jump-Up, and while he doesn't know that the humidifier exists, I am sure that come the morning, he will appreciate it too.

In an effort to help Colin feel better, he took a big boy bath with mommy this afternoon. Normally when he bathes, it is in a kiddy tub that has a little hammock and only a small amount of water. Today, he got in the big tub with mommy and got all wet. He thought it was fantastic and forgot about his cold for a while. The weightlessness of the water had him kicking and "swimming" like crazy, and then he learned that he could splash. He did it at first on accident, but when he did, you could see the little cogs turning in his head as he tried to figure out what just happened. He did it again, and decided that was pretty swell. We'll have some pictures in the next day or so.

Here is hoping to a quick recovery for our little boy. Your prayers are appreciated.

I'm sorry to hear that he has a cold. I hope he dosen't share with you. I'm praying that he gets better quickly. Thanks for the update.
